Safety & rules
Rancho Grande is a free community noticeboard, not a shelter, rescue or adopting party. Review is not verification: we do not independently verify health, behavior, ownership or placement.
Posting rules
- Only the owner or an authorized rescue/shelter representative may post an animal for rehoming.
- No animal sales, breeding advertisements, illegal or restricted wildlife. Rancho Grande does not collect or handle adoption payments.
- Describe health, behavior and compatibility honestly. Mark unknown information as not provided; disclose known medical or safety concerns.
- Use genuine animal photos with permission. Do not include phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, identifying documents or private information in public text or photos.
- Every listing starts pending. Admins may edit, reject, unpublish or remove inappropriate listings. Approved listings expire after 30 days unless renewed.
- Keep the listing current and mark adopted or withdraw it as soon as the animal no longer needs a home.
Adopt with care
- Verify the submitter's identity and authority. Ask for veterinary records, vaccination history and behavior information; arrange an independent vet assessment if needed.
- Meet in a safe, suitable place. Do not share your home address publicly. Bring another adult and introduce children or other animals cautiously.
- Never send deposits, gift cards, cryptocurrency or transport payments before meeting the animal and verifying the arrangement. Be wary of urgency, inconsistent stories or refusal to meet.
- Understand ongoing care costs, legal requirements and any adoption agreement. Placement is between you and the independent submitter.
Privacy & inquiries
Submitter and inquiry contact details are stored privately and available only to authorized admins. Inquiries are stored in the admin inbox, not automatically sent to listing owners; no response is guaranteed. Spam protection uses a hashed network identifier. Do not include sensitive information in your message.
Your private management link is a secret: anyone holding it can manage the listing. Save it securely and do not share it publicly. Use the removal form if you lose access or need to raise a privacy concern.
